Your Mission:

 

Marketing the company’s products and/or services with well-qualified prospects and existing customers; Acquire new customers and sell additional products or services to existing ones.

  • Deploy an effective contact strategy to connect and build relationships with new and existing contacts
  • Follow up on Marketing-generated leads
  • Educate prospects on the Medidata Platform
  • Maintain thorough records of correspondence in Salesforce
  • Research companies on Internet, industry publications, and third party tools to identify new targets and selling opportunities
  • Support Area Sales Representatives / Account Managers to identify and nurture opportunities within individual territories
  • Coordinate warm lead hand off from outside lead generation group to Area Sales Representatives / Account Managers
  • Coordinate product demonstrations with Area Sales Representatives / Account Managers and Solutions Consultants
  • Work through Medidata MSA and SOW contracts with internal and prospect/customer legal councils
  • Participate in company sponsored events and marketing campaigns designed to stimulate more brand and product awareness
  • Attain lead / sales opportunity generation and sales targets

Your Competencies:

  • Knowledge of computer usage in a web-based environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid analytical and technical skills
  • Exposure to formal sales methodologies
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Self-motivating, able to assume responsibility and work autonomously in a professional manner
  • Software or complex sales experience
  • Knowledge of Clinical Development arena
  • Self-motivated, able to assume responsibility, and work in a professional team environment
  • Application software sales experience a plus

 

 

Your Education & Experience:

 

Bachelor’s Degree in the Life Sciences, Business or Computer Science preferred, or equivalent relevant experience

Requires a minimum of 3 years of previous technical telesales experience preferred


As with all roles, Medidata sets ranges based on a number of factors including function, level, candidate expertise and experience, and geographic location.

The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the NYC Metro Area is $57,000-$76,000. 

The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the California Bay Area is $60,000-$80,000.

The salary range for positions that will be physically based in the Boston Metro Area is $53,250-$71,000.

The salary range for positions that will be physically based in Texas or Ohio is $51,000-$68,000.

The salary range for positions that will be physically based in all other locations within the United States is $57,000-$76,000.

 

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Medidata provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a commission on the terms of applicable plan documents, and many of Medidata’s non-sales positions are eligible for annual bonuses. Medidata believes that benefits should connect you to the support you need when it matters most and provides best-in-class benefits, including medical, dental, life and disability insurance; 401(k) matching; unlimited paid time off (subject to management discretion); and 10 paid holidays per year.
