What are we looking for?
Intertek is actively seeking an Account Manager to join our Softline team, preferably based in West Coast of US. The ideal Account Manager candidate will be outgoing, goal oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
The Account Manager will work with clients to provide support and communication between Intertek and the client representatives while ensuring that Intertek sites are supporting all testing, inspection, and auditing needs as required.
How you’ll make an impact at Intertek:
- Technical and Industry knowledge of Softlines (Textiles and Footwear)
- Responsible for effective communication and follow through between Client and Intertek.
- Monitor and work with Intertek offices worldwide to ensure that all client testing, inspection and auditing needs and procedures are met.
- Ensure laboratories are performing testing in accordance with client's specified test methods and test protocols, including turn time requirements and reporting procedures.
- Continually monitor lab turn times and monitor test volume on client programs.
- Coordinate, track and deliver on time testing
- Responsible for the development and maintenance of protocol/manuals as they relate to Intertek. Provide training to Intertek offices on new system implementation and data entry procedures.
- Educate retailer internal teams on applicable regulatory updates, recalls and trends
- Navigate Intertek different data solutions and to provide information on-demand to retailer business units, as appropriate
- Consolidate data, documents and streamline process for meeting information requests
- Organize global data and efforts to provide an Intertek as One delivery of goods and services to client
What it takes to be successful in this role:
- Degree in Science (preferably Textile or Apparel)
- Experience and knowledge of working with any third-party labs or retail/fashion brands in USA
- Knowledge on US/Canada Regulatory Requirements for Softlines (especially Apparel)

About the Team
Intertek's Softlines business provides Assurance, Testing, Inspection and Certification services to retailers, brands, and manufacturers of textiles, apparel, fashion accessories, footwear, and home textiles products. Intertek performs safety, quality, and regulatory testing on textiles from fabric samples to finished products, such as children's and adult apparel and footwear, personal protective equipment (PPE) apparel, and home furnishings. We help ensure our customers meet consumer demand for high quality, minimize reputational risk, reduce environmental impacts, and protect the interests of retailers, brands, textile manufacturers, and consumer safety.
